Micad appointed to NHS Shared Business Services Hard FM framework

10th June 2022 | Victoria Franks

Leading estates, facilities maintenance and compliance software company Micad has been appointed by NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) to its Hard Facilities Management framework agreement (Hard FM).

Micad is one of only four companies that has been awarded a prestigious place for Lot 1.3 Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) on NHS SBS’s Hard FM framework.

To be awarded participation in the framework agreement, Micad were rigorously assessed against set criteria, including software design, pricing, experience, service delivery, and sustainability.

About the framework

The second iteration of this highly successful framework addresses the NHS’s need for quality, innovative and cost-effective solutions, which will help them manage their estates successfully.

The revised framework also includes Covid-19 safety provisions and puts a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability.

Currently approximately 1,800 public sector organisations across the UK are approved to purchase products and services through NHS SBS, including NHS bodies, local authorities, educational bodies, police forces, fire and rescue services, and many others.

Why buy through the framework?

Public sector organisations that purchase through the framework will benefit from up to 10% cost savings. And with an expected spend via the framework of £800m over the next four years, the public sector could benefit from a huge £80m saving.

In addition, by purchasing through the framework you can be assured that the products and services have been independently vetted to ensure they meet all legislative requirements; meaning no formal tendering is required, saving valuable time and money in the procurement process.
