Micad Proudly Acquire Integrated Handheld Solutions Ltd

Micad are delighted to announce the acquisition of Integrated Handheld Solutions Ltd (IHS) on 6^th September 2017. IHS develop and sell a range of software products including Backtraq FM, a comprehensive suite of facilities and maintenance software used extensively by the NHS and other organisations across the UK.

As Micad is the largest provider of Property Management Software to the NHS, serving over 150 NHS Trusts and affiliated organisations, the combination of Micad with IHS will create the largest provider of Facilities Maintenance software for the Healthcare sector throughout the UK.

IHS clients will benefit from Micad’s extended infrastructure, development team and network of NHS customers with whom we collaborate with and share our best practices with. Coupled with the IHS team’s experience, knowledge and experience in the facilities maintenance market, Micad’s customers will also benefit from the enlarged group’s broader suite of Estates and Facilities Maintenance Software products and joint capabilities.

All IHS staff will join the Micad business, including founders John Herron and Stewart Smith who have taken on senior roles within the Micad team. Micad will also be investing heavily in the Backtraq product range by introducing the same web based technology platform as Micad’s Help Desk CAFM software. Existing Micad Helpdesk users will benefit from BackTraq’s enhanced functionality with future suites of CAFM products connecting directly into Micad’s IPR and Micad4 applications.
